EXEMPLARY SIRES AND DAMSDAWN OF SIAM As we look into those who have made a huge difference on behalf of the Traditional Cats, this month we are featuring: The
Dawn of Siam Dawn’s first queen was “Teia “B” Best”, sired by Tao and out of Mitzi. “Teia” was a Seal Point with vivid blue eyes, a Traditional head type with a Classic style body. She had her own Siamese purrsonality. Her first stud was “Frick-Frack”, a Traditional Siamese in every way who was sired by Purrwiskers Samson. His dark Seal Points and medium blue eyes, which were the color of the sky, were only two of his strong points. He was a sturdy and patient stud, even when a queen bit him in the most delicate of places and absessed 3 weeks later with a fever of 105! We nursed him back to health none the worse for wear! He never let it slow him down. Both “Tai” and “Frick” were of partial unknown lineage, but in all their litters they always produced true to breed. Dawn helped several breeders begin their breeding programs. She helped Judith Heberlig and her daughter get started breeding many years ago. Becky Kopp received her guidance and bloodlines too. She is now breeding the sixth (6th) generation of kittens out of “Frick”, “Tia” and “Silkiblue” from Judy’s cattery. This is her 18th year breeding Traditional Siamese. “Frick” and “Tia” have both passed on, but their legacy still continues with new breedings of cute kittens, who reflect their best attributes. Dawn has a new stud male now named, “Tye”, who is registered with TCA, INC. Combined with “Tidbit”, “Tarkay”, “Savana Lee”, “DejaBlu”, and “Snowbell” her pedigrees extend the lineage with each generation of purebreds. TCA, INC. is proud to have such a dedicated and generous breeder in our midst.
